TP Mazembe owner Moise Katumbi is happy with former Chopolopolo player Raindford Kalaba’s healing improvement.
Addressing the press shortly after visiting Kalaba at the University Teaching Hospitalโs (UTH) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Tuesday evening, Katumbi was delighted that Kalaba was even able to walk him out of his admission room.
He said Kalaba was fit and should be able return to the pitch as part of the Mazembe coaching staff in Congo.
“I am so happy to God because it is a miracle for Kalaba to have survived that accident. He has not retired but is still part of TP Mazembe”.
Kalaba spent about 12 years at TP Mazembe as a player and won plenty of silverware with the club.
He was involved in a fatal road accident about a week ago on Kafue road. The driver of the vehicle he was in died on the spot.
In the immediate aftermath of the accident, social media was flooded with reports that Kalaba had also died in the same accident before his survival was established.
