Barbara Banda has scored a second brace for her Orlando Pride side who beat Seattle Reign 3-2 this Monday morning to record Orlandoโs seventh consecutive victory in the USAโs National Womenโs Soccer League (NWSL).
Banda, who captains Zambiaโs womenโs national soccer team, doubled Orlandoโs lead in the 18th minute after Emily Sams had given the visitors the lead in the encounter played at the Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
Seattle pulled one back at the stroke of half-time and got the equalizer three minutes into the second half before Banda stepped up once again with another goal in the 58th minute to complete her brace and take her goal tally to six goals in six appearances in which she has also assisted two goals since joining the club.
The win pushed Orlando to the summit of the NWSL standings with 26 points after 10 games played and two points clear of second-placed KC Current.
Next up for Barbara and her Pride is a home fixture against Portland Thorns at the Inter & Co Stadium on Saturday.
