Janza Confirms ZESCO Exit

Former Zambia national team head coach Honour Janza has left his role as Technical Director at MTN Super League giants ZESCO United after a year-and-a-half.

Janza confirmed his departure from the Ndola side in a letter to the club’s technical team. He expressed pleasure for having worked with the nine-time Zambian champions.

“You might have already heard the news, but I wanted to leave you a personal note to say that I have officially resigned from my position as Technical Director for ZESCO United Football Club. The 5th of June, 2024 marked the official end of my last working day and I wanted to share with you how much of a joy it has been working together at ZESCO United football club and Company” Janza wrote.

During his stay, the club qualified for the ABSA Cup and the CAF Confederation Cup coming up next season.

The 63-year-old trainer joined ZESCO in December, 2022, after leaving his role as interim head coach of the Tanzania national team and the club Namungo FC.
