Amos Chanda, the ex-press aide to former President Edgar Lungu, has renewed his application to be granted access to his passport.
Chanda claims that he needs to travel to India for specialized medical treatment.
Chanda was recently convicted and sentenced to 12 months in prison for theft of court documents.
He has made his application pending his appeal hearing.
Chanda’s application for passport access states that his medical condition, first diagnosed in June 2019 in India, requires bi-annual review and treatment as prescribed by doctors.
