MTN Super League side Zesco United striker Enock Sakala is set to join Egyptian Premier League side Future FC this month.
The 22-year old striker has traveled to Egypt ahead of his proposed move to the Cairo-based club which has made breakthrough in its negotiations to sign the player from Zesco.
A source close to the player has exclusively revealed to Zambian Digest that the two clubs had reached an agreement over the transfer fee that remains undisclosed.
“The move is as good as done, the clubs just agreed about the monies and we are just waiting for them to exchange documents then he will also sign” the source revealed on Tuesday.
Sakala has been offered a three-year deal by Future who are sitting 8th on the Premier League table and chasing a top four finish to qualify for continental competition next season.
The Zesco academy graduate emerged as the club’s top scorer this past campaign and second in the league overall after scoring 12 goals.
Sakala would be the second Zesco player to leave the club for North Africa this year following Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba who joined Al-Nasser Benghazi in Libya at the start of 2024.
