Minister of Health Sylvia Masebo congratulated Dr. Mazyanga Lucy Mazaba Liwewe on her appointment as the Regional Director of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Regional Coordinating Center for East Africa, located in Nairobi, Kenya.
Mrs. Masebo expressed her joy at Dr. Mazaba’s appointment, highlighting it as a recognition of her exceptional contributions, dedication, and expertise in public health.
Prior to this role, Dr. Mazaba served as the Director of Public Health Policy and Health Diplomacy at the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI).
Recognizing Dr. Mazaba’s extensive experience, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to various aspects of health, Mrs. Masebo praised her ability to lead and inspire.
She expressed confidence in Dr. Mazaba’s capabilities, stating that her qualities would greatly benefit the Africa CDC and advance public health initiatives in East Africa and beyond.
