The Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) has harvested and delivered 2,856.05 metric tons of white irrigated maize to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) in contribution to the country’s food security.
The grain is from its four irrigated farms at Nansanga (Serenje), Lubambala (Mpika), Chitwi (Luanshya), and Chondwe ( Masaiti).
ZCS expects to deliver another 3,000 tons of white maize from its rain-fed farms across the country before the end of the year.
