Must read

Zambia national team players Kings Kangwa and Benson Sakala faced off last night as their clubs Hapoel Be’er Sheva and FK Mlada Boleslav played to a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Conference League.

Kangwa, who recently transferred to Be’er Sheva from Red Star Belgrade of Serbia, had his first game for the Israeli club at the Městský Stadium in the Czech Republic.

The 25-year old midfielder entered the game in the 68th minute, replacing his new Israeli teammate Shai Elias, while Sakala came on in the final 13 minutes of normal time.

The Zambian players had a chat after the match, which was the first leg of the preliminary round Conference League match between the two teams.

Kangwa and Sakala are set to meet again as the clubs play the return leg in Israel next week.

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, former Zambia Under-20 player Joseph Sabobo Banda and FC Zurich suffered a 3-0 loss to Vitória SC of Portugal in another Conference League match.

Sabobo Banda was on the bench but did not feature in the game at the Letzigrund in the Swiss capital.
