The Chipolopolo team has departed for Abidjan to prepare for their Group G Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Morocco on Friday. A group of local players flew out early Monday via Ethiopian Airlines, while overseas players are scheduled to join the team by Tuesday.
However, Kelvin Kampamba of Al Nasr Benghazi will miss the match due to the recent passing of his mother in Kitwe. Kampamba had planned to join the squad in Lusaka but was unable to do so.
Zambia will face Ivory Coast in Bouake on Friday and will then host Sierra Leone in Ndola on September 10.
