The Zambia Schools National Team made a remarkable impact, securing three team Gold medals in the Under 15 boys football, Under 17 girls football, and Under 17 boys basketball categories. Individually, the athletes excelled as well, claiming 52 Gold, 66 Silver, and 10 Bronze medals across various disciplines.

The team, which consisted of players in multiple categories including Under 15 boys football, Under 17 boys and girls football, Under 17 volleyball, netball, basketball, and athletics, competed against nations such as Eswatini, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe.

Joel Kamoko, the Permanent Secretary of Education Services, praised the 114-member Zambian team for their exceptional achievements in both team and individual sports. He encouraged the athletes to remain proud and to continue excelling both in sports and academics.

Feston Mtonga, the delegation leader and Assistant Director of Standards, Assessment, and Evaluation at the MOE, highlighted that the team was meticulously selected from various schools across Zambia.
