A Chongwe housewife, who was devastated by her husband’s choice to divorce her and wed someone else, killed her six-year-old daughter by strangulation before ending her own life.
After a disagreement with her husband after their divorce, Martha Maambo, 36, is accused of strangling her own daughter before killing herself. In separate interviews yesterday, the victim’s family member and Zambia Police assistant public relations officer Godfrey Chilabi both attested to the occurrence.
