Keembe Member of Parliament Princess Kasune has encouraged the public to take full advantage of government initiatives aimed at alleviating hunger during the ongoing drought. Speaking recently, she urged those who missed out on the emergency drought cash transfers to participate in the cash-for-work programs available in various constituencies.
Ms. Kasune highlighted that many residents in her constituency are already benefiting from these initiatives. Her remarks came during a donation of blankets to senior citizens in Itumbwe Ward.
Keembe Constituency Chairman Alick Kanyama also called on the community to support the government’s development efforts in the area. Senior Headman Chiwasa Abedinego emphasized the need for Ward Development Officers to collaborate closely with Ms. Kasune to enhance the lives of residents and promote development.
