Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema has extended his congratulations to Duma Gideon Boko following his victory in Botswana’s presidential elections.
In his message, Hichilema commended the people of Botswana for their commitment to fair and peaceful elections. He also praised outgoing President Masisi for his gracious concession and for reinforcing democracy in the region through a smooth transfer of power.
“This victory is a triumph not just for the UDC Party, but for democracy and the will of the people,” Hichilema stated. He expressed optimism for the continued implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements with the new leadership.
