President Hakainde Hichilema has stated that the New Dawn administration will not tolerate lazy contractors, emphasizing the government’s commitment to delivering the development Zambians deserve.
The government has contracted M and N Industrial Merchants to construct the 155 km Kalomo-Zimba-Kazungula road, funded by the World Bank at a cost of K115 million. However, the contractor has not yet mobilized to the site.
Hichilema announced that a new contractor will be appointed to ensure the project’s completion. “This road is very important, and we will get it done. The previous contractor was not working hard,” he asserted.
“This Government does not want lazy contractors.”
