Approximately 700 households in Lusaka’s Kanyama will soon have access to clean and safe drinking water, following the drilling of three boreholes that are set to be connected to the main water network.
Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company has already connected over 300 households to ensure they receive safe drinking water.
Nicholas Phiri, Permanent Secretary for Technical Services at the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, reported that three of the ten planned boreholes in the township have been completed.
“Under Lusaka Water, we have successfully drilled three boreholes that will be integrated into the main network to enhance water provision in Kanyama,” Mr. Phiri stated during a recent inspection of the site.
