The government has disbursed over K700 million to agro-dealers participating in the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) for the 2024-2025 farming season.
The payments, made to suppliers contracted to provide farming inputs via the Electronic Voucher (E-Voucher) system, are part of ongoing efforts to support agricultural production across the country.
Mwendalubi Msoka, Director of Agribusiness and Marketing at the Ministry of Agriculture, has hailed the implementation of FISP as a success, noting its positive impact on the agricultural sector.
Meanwhile, Fert-Agro suppliers, in collaboration with RMO Consultancy, one of the agro-dealers participating in the E-Voucher system, confirmed receiving over K1 million in government payments.
