The property of jailed former Lusaka Province Minister, Bowman Lusambo, on Kabelenga Road in Ndola is on the brink of repossession due to an outstanding rental debt of K590,000.
Zamtel Limited has taken legal action against Lusambo, who served as the Member of Parliament for Kabushi under the Patriotic Front (PF), after he failed to pay the accumulated rental arrears dating back to 2021.
Court documents reveal that Zamtel has described Lusambo as a problematic tenant and is seeking to terminate his tenancy. The telecommunications company is demanding the full repayment of K590,000 in unpaid rent, excluding withholding tax, as of October 31, 2021. Despite multiple reminders, Lusambo has not settled the debt.
