𝗛𝗛 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗮

President Hichilema will take an official visit to Angola on December 4.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mulambo Haimbe has announced that Hichilema will, during his visit, participated in the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment Lobito Corridor Summit.

The summit has been convened by the Angolan government and is being held on the margins of US President Joe Biden’s visit to Angola.

“The meeting will focus on the development of the Lobito Corridor, a critical regional infrastructure project aimed at enhancing trade and connectivity across Southern Africa,” said Haimbe.

Hichilema will take part in a high-level discussion along with other heads of state and government and international partners.

“Together with the Democratic Republic of Congo and the United Republic of Tanzania, the two nations (Angola and Zambia) continue to advance the Lobito Corridor project, which offers an alternative transportation route to the sea, unlocking economic opportunities through increased trade, investment, and job creation.”

DRC and Tanzania will also attend the Summit.

Hichilema is expected to return home the same day, immediately after his engagements.
