Former Zambia national team goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene has been appointed as new goalkeeper coach at Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 39-year old previously served as an assistant to Wendell Robinson who has since left the club.
The 2012 AFCON winning hero will work under new Portuguese head coach Miguel Cardoso who has replaced Manqoba Mngithi.
Cardoso and his new technical team will officially be introduced to the players today following their unveiling held yesterday in Pretoria.
Mweene featured for Sundowns for a decade having joined the club in 2013 before retiring in 2023 after making 88 appearances.
He then joined the clubโs coaching staff as assistant goalkeeper coach after a successful career spanning over two decades.
