No More Indefinite Bans But Unity — Kashala

Must read

Former General Secretary Adrian Kashala has officially joined the race to become the next president of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) ahead of the 29th March elections.

Kashala became the second aspiring candidate to successfully file in his nomination for FAZ the presidency earlier this morning at Football House in Lusaka.

Speaking to the press after filing in his nomination, Kashala promised to run football inclusively and unite the football fraternity once ascending to the chairmanship of FAZ.

“Once elected, we will run our football with a united front and everyone who has an interest in football administration will be allowed run freely, no one deserves to be banned from football for along time,” Kashala said.

Kashala, who served as General Secretary under incumbent Andrew Kamanga from 2018 to 2023, says his administration will prioritize collective football development.

“We will not focus on individuals but rather our focus will be on the development of football from women’s football, youth football, referees training including administrators training,” he said.

Kashala joins Godfrey Chikumbi as the two FAZ presidential aspirants to have successfully filed in their nominations ahead of the elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) set for 29th March 2025 at Fairmount Hotel in Livingstone.
