MUZA, Lameck Banda Reunite

Must read

MTN Super League side MUZA football club has re-appointment Lameck Banda as club head coach, replacing Mathews Ndhlovu.

MUZA confirmed Banda’s return to the Mazabuka-based outfit after Ndhlovu’s departure, following the non-renewal of his contract at the end of last season.

“Maestro United Zambia Football Club (F.C. MUZA) wishes to announce the appointment of Lameck Banda as new club head coach with immediate effect,” reads the club’s official statement.

Banda’s return comes a year after he relinquished the head coach role at the end of a successful 2022/23 campaign in which he guided the club to a second-place finish and qualified it for the CAF Confederation Cup.

MUZA has described Banda’s appointment as a potential morale boost in the club’s quest for glory in domestic competitions and continental football.

After MUZA, Banda managed Lumwana Radiants in the National League before joining Prison Leopards, which got relegated to the National League last season.
