ZESCO United Football Club has officially appointed Ponga Liwewe as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 7, 2024.
Liwewe brings extensive football experience, both domestically and internationally, along with significant commercial expertise. He has a proven leadership track record within the football community and has held strategic roles at several top clubs in Zambia, while also advising on football management.
ZESCO United Club Chairman Maxwell Saya expressed confidence in Liwewe’s ability to lead the club, stating, “Our ambition is to return ZESCO United to the top of the domestic game and re-establish our position on the continental stage. We are pleased that Liwewe has accepted this challenge.”
