The Online Taxi Drivers Association of Zambia has rolled out the installation of Global Positioning System (GPS) trackers and live dash cameras in all online taxis across the country.
The initiative aims to enhance the safety and security of both drivers and passengers. The new technology will provide real-time monitoring, offering an additional layer of protection for all parties involved.
Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) Board Chairman Allen Mate expressed the agency’s full support for the project, emphasizing its importance for road safety.
Mr. Mate made these remarks during the launch event of the GPS trackers and dash cameras in Lusaka today.
