Minister of Lands Sylvia Masebo has castigated PF-faction mouthpiece Emmanuel Mwamba for specializing in propaganda and twisting things to create a certain narrative.
Masebo was reacting to Mwamba’s Facebook post earlier today claiming the people of Chongwe had chased away Masebo and stoned her vehicle, prompting her driver to whisk her away from an angry mob when she visited Chongwe, where she is the sitting member of Parliament, to attempt to resolve land encroachment issues.
He posted two videos – a snippet of Masebo’s talk with members of the community challenging some people claiming to be taking away land in the name of the party and warning them of repercussions and another of a group of people seemingly running towards something. However, there was no clear link between the two videos and Zambian Digest could not verify if one was related to the other.
Commenting on the matter, Masebo wondered what legacy Mwamba would leave for his children because the lies he concocts and the things he says would be around even after he died.
“I feel sorry for this gentleman [What’s his name? Emmanuel Mwamba]. I feel sorry for him, he’s got children and everything he’s doing today will remain. Even if he died 20 years from now the children will remain. What legacy is he leaving behind? That his specialty was propaganda? Lying about people, twisting things to create a certain narrative?” she wondered.
She continued, “So I was stoned, I’ve got a scar, I was beaten up, I ran away…What are you trying to say? And me, I’m not even your age, I’m an elderly person with children. And you want to do your politics by insulting a person who is innocent. What do you think you will get? You will get the worst things for yourself and your children. Those things follow you in different ways and all I’m saying is let us work together for our nation.”
