Zambian duo, Monica Munga and Lassam Katongo, will represent Zambia at the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France.
Both para-athletes will compete in the 400-meter race. Munga will compete in the Women’s T13 while Katongo will take on the Men’s T12 with a guide.
The letter T represents their classification, and the numbers 11-13 denote visual impairment.
Paris will be Munga’s second appearance at the Paralympic Games, following her debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games in Japan.
Katongo will make his third appearance at the games. He debuted in Beijing in 2008, which he followed with the London Games in 2012.
The Paralympic Games will be held from August 28 to September 8.
