Choma and Monze are earmarked for level 1 hospitals to address the deficit of health facilities in the two districts, the Ministry of Health has revealed.
During a courtesy call on the Southern provincial administration yesterday, Health Minister Elijah Muchima stated that Choma and Monze would each have a level 1 constructed while another health facility would be put up in Zimba.

Muchima said the government had noted the deficit of health facilities in the province, hence, the allocation of resources to cure that. Further, the remaining two phases of the existing Request Muntanga level 1 hospital, which have stalled for years, would soon resume as funding had been released.
