The Zambia Police Service wishes to update the public that at approximately 4:30am this morning, a tragic road traffic accident occurred in the Kasaka area near the Kafue Boys junction along Kafue Road. The incident involved a Marcopolo bus, registration number BAJ 3715, with trailer number BAE 5510 (Dangler), driven by 39-year-old Mr. Mwanza Lebani, who sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized at Kafue District Hospital.
The bus was carrying 33 passengers. Among them:

Preliminary investigations indicate that excessive speed contributed to the accident. The driver lost control while negotiating a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn.
