Cabinet Secretary Patrick Kangwa has issued a stern warning to public service institutions that disregard Cabinet circulars, emphasizing that continued non-compliance could result in severe penalties, including dismissal.
During the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Integrity Committee forum yesterday, Kangwa expressed concern over the apparent defiance among some permanent secretaries and chief executive officers regarding presidential directives.
“I want to make it clear that failure to implement a circular issued by my office is a dismissible offense,” he stated, referencing the disciplinary code that governs public service conduct. “Ignoring instructions can lead to termination.”
