The baby girl who survived a recent road traffic accident in Lusaka’s Ibex area, which resulted in the deaths of three people, including her mother, has been identified and reunited with her father, Michael Phiri of Mtendere East.
Levy Mwanawasa Hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Chizongo Siachiwena, confirmed the reunion facilitated by the Zambia Police Service, specifically Woman Constable Mubanga Chileshe. Mr. Phiri described the moment as deeply emotional, mourning the loss of his wife, Helen Sakala.
The baby is currently in stable condition and responding well to treatment. The hospital management expressed condolences to the bereaved families and thanked the public for their support in locating the child’s family.
