Must read

Power Dynamos have bolstered their squad for the second round of the season with the additions of two strikers as they aim to challenge for the league title.

The Kitwe giants have completed the signings of leading MTN Super League top scorer Titus Chansa from Mutondo Stars and striker Musonda Kapembwa.

In a statement issued on the club’s official website, Power announced the signing of Chansa, 25, on a one-year loan deal from Mutondo, while Kapembwa, 29, has penned an 18-month contract with the club.

Chansa put up a splendid performance in the first half of the Super League campaign and currently leads the scorers’ chart with 9 goals this season.

Meanwhile, Kapembwa has made a return to Zambia following a short stint in Mozambique with CD Costa do Sol, whom he joined from Napsa Stars last January.

Power has further announced that it has extended defender John Soko’s contract for the next three years, with the club academy product set to stay at the Arthur Davies Stadium until January 2028.

The 2023/24 league title winners have strengthened their squad with the new additions in order to consolidate their charge to reclaim the title, as they currently sit 6th with 29 points, just a point behind leaders Zesco United in the league standings.

Power faces defending champions Red Arrows in a Week 19 fixture set to be played this afternoon in Lusaka as the Super League returns to action today.
