The Commonwealth Board of Governors has officially endorsed the appointment of Her Excellency Ms. Macenje Mazoka, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia to the United Kingdom as a member of the Executive Committee (ExCo) for a one-year term starting from July 1, 2024.
Ms Mazoka’s selection fills a vacancy created by the conclusion of Ghana’s term on the committee.
The ExCo which convenes quarterly, is responsible for reviewing reports from the Secretary-General’s office regarding individual fund operations, overseeing budget and audit activities, and addressing other matters referred to it by the board.
In addition, the ExCo has the authority to proactively discuss significant issues it identifies as crucial for furthering the Board of Governors’ work and provide advice and recommendations between formal board meetings.
