Nkwazi FC Appoints Aggrey Chiyangi as Head Coach

Must read

Nkwazi Football Club has announced the appointment of Aggrey Chiyangi as Head Coach, effective immediately.

Meanwhile, Police Inspector General Graphel Musamba has set a high bar for Nkwazi this season, expecting them to win the league and bring home other silverware.

Chiyangi, who has signed a two-year contract to succeed Dennis Makinka, who recently joined Nkana FC, was unveiled yesterday at the Service Headquarters in Lusaka.

A statement shared by the club’s public relations officer, Jeff Mwape, says the Inspector General, who also attended the unveiling, is optimistic about the appointment.

“Given Coach Chiyangi’s vast experience, I am confident the team is in capable hands,” Musamba stated.

The IG emphasized that the club has high expectations for the team, including winning the league, the ABSA Cup, and competing in continental football, and urged the team to uphold high standards of discipline, reflecting the institution’s esteemed image.

Club Chairman Bradley Mweene is confident of Chiyangi’s ability to meet expectations, citing his extensive experience in the league.

Mweene challenged Chiyangi to achieve even greater success than the team’s performance last season.

Chiyangi is well-acquainted with the Zambian league, having previously coached Nkana, Nchanga Rangers, Power Dynamos, and Green Eagles, among others.

Chiyangi joins a strong coaching team that includes Keegan Phiri as first assistant, Edward Kangwa as second assistant, Signs Chibanbo as third assistant, and Samuel Ngukube as goalkeeper trainer.
